Roger Baldwin was part founder of the American Civil Liberties Union [ACLU]. He professed before his graduating classmates at a reunion many years later that he was a Socialist. The lawyers group has worked feverishly ever since to dismantle the Constitution of the United States.
It introduces lawsuits against anything that appears religious to rid America of our past heritage - a Christian nation! Roger Baldwin instructed this group of lawyers to always be "out front" waving the American flag so as to appear the most patriotic of all people in America, but they should silently and under a good pretext undermine the Constitution to prepare America for anarchy and collapse into the embracing arms of International Socialism/Communism.
Chief Justice Roy Moore of Alabama installed on the wall behind him in his courtroom a frame containing the Ten Commandments. The ACLU has been after him for years and now has filed a lawsuit to force him to remove the Ten Commandments from his courtroom.
Herbert Titus is one of the three attorneys defending Chief Justice Roy Moore. Titus knows firsthand about the ACLU and its aims. He was a Harvard Law School graduate who served in the U.S. Justice Department under Robert Kennedy. He also taught law at the University of Oregon Law School.
Titus pursued legal activism and went on to serve as an ACLU attorney. He knows better than most what the ACLU's true objectives are and what is at stake in the lawsuit filed against Chief Justice Moore. He left the organization after professing Christ.
Titus says that Moore's Ten Commandment display does NOT violate the First Amendment's ban on the establishment of religion. Titus says that to establish religion would mean to use "coercive power of the state to enforce duties that God Himself has reserved to Himself." When Moore installed the Ten Commandments, he "did not in anyway coerce anybody to do anything."
Titus says the monument promotes the same point of view espoused in the Declaration of Independence, namely that law comes from God. If Moore's enemies are right to claim that he, as a public official, cannot have that view, then, said Titus, "we better tear up the Declaration of Independence, because that's the view of the Declaration of Independence."
Moore's opponents won't "go that far because they know it's not politically popular to do that - NOT YET," said Titus. "But, that's where they will go if they're allowed to get away with this." Titus says the ACLU wants nothing less than to scrub the American landscape clean of all "vestiges of the religious foundation of law and liberty in America. The ACLU seeks vulnerable targets in its campaign to purge religion from public life. "Chief Justice Moore is a vulnerable target, just as cities and towns and states across the country have been vulnerable targets to this assault on America's Christian tradition."
Small victories build precedents for larger cases, he said. Given enough courtroom conquests, the ACLU will go on to challenge "any reference to God in ANY public place, in any public ceremony of ANY kind," Titus said. That includes "In God We Trust" on our money, and "Under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance.
THE PLAN: "I know, I used to be an ACLU cooperating attorney. In the 1960s there was a definite plan TO RID THIS NATION OF ALL PUBLIC DISPLAYS OF ANY RELIGIOUS SYMBOL OF THIS NATION'S FOUNDING," Titus said. The case against Moore, he said, is "just part of that plan," and the reason why the outcome is so critical.
"What's AT STAKE in the case involving Chief Justice Moore and the monument that contains the Ten Commandments is the very FUTURE of the nation," Titus claims.
"Are we going to be a nation under God with liberty and justice for all? Are we going to be a nation that rejects God and says that God belongs only behind the four walls of the church [building] or the four walls of our home? THAT'S THE ISSUE IN THIS CASE," says Titus.
Each one of us should ask ourselves if we are part of America's problem or part of the solution? When you read Leviticus 26 and Deuteronomy 28, it becomes obvious that obedience to God and His Son Jesus Christ MUST BE the foundation of every person and every nation or consequences will follow!
God inspired that Jesus "shed the blood of the Everlasting Covenant" in Hebrews 13:20-21. Jesus died to forgive our transgressions of God's Covenant. We are not as an individual or a nation at liberty to continue violating it after forgiveness. REPENT!
Sincerely,

David J. Smith
